(AsiaGameHub) – Senate Bill 131 has been sent to Governor Jared Polis.
US.- The Colorado Senate approved Senate Bill 131 in a 20-15 vote on the final days of the 2026 legislative session. The bill establishes specific requirements and restrictions regarding sports betting and has been forwarded to Governor Jared Polis, who has 30 days to sign it into law, veto it, or allow it to become effective without his signature.
The legislation would ban credit card deposits for gambling activities and restrict how frequently bettors can fund their accounts each day. It would also prevent sports betting companies and their marketing partners from directing advertisements toward individuals under the age of 21.
Jamie Glick, executive director of the Problem Gambling Coalition of Colorado, expressed support for the prohibition on credit-based gambling, identifying access to gambling on credit as one of the most significant risk factors. He described his stance on the remaining provisions as “neutral.”
