Slovakian Gambling Regulatory Authority and Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra Forge Strategic Partnership

(AsiaGameHub) –   The Gambling Regulatory Authority has formalized a partnership with Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra through a memorandum of cooperation. This initiative aims to integrate regulatory practices with academic training for aspiring social workers and psychologists.

Slovakia.- The Slovakian Gambling Regulatory Authority (URHH) has officially signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. The objective is to connect regulatory experience with the academic preparation of future social workers and psychologists, who are crucial in safeguarding vulnerable segments of the population.

This memorandum facilitates structured education regarding the social impacts of gambling. Students of psychology and social work will gain access to current knowledge through expert lectures and workshops focusing on gambling regulation, addiction prevention, responsible gambling, and new forms of gambling in the digital realm. The collaboration also includes expert consultations for final theses, participation in scientific conferences, and joint analysis of social trends within the gambling sector.

Libuša Baranová, director general of the Gambling Regulatory Authority, stated: “Our objective is to cultivate a secure and responsible gambling market, which demands a profound understanding of social processes.

“Social workers and psychologists are frontline professionals who perceive gambling within the broader context of family and community. I am confident that by combining our specialized knowledge with the academic foundation of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, we will establish an effective pillar of protection and empower future professionals to better identify and address the social risks presented by the digital age.”

Prof. Tomáš Sollár, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care at CPU in Nitra, added: “Supporting individuals in challenging situations, whether social or health-related, is among our core priorities. This partnership strengthens the connection between academic learning and practical application, helping us to train professionals who will be capable of effectively protecting vulnerable groups in contemporary society.”
